MLTT Week 7 Player Power Rankings

MLTT Staff
December 5, 2025

Seven weeks have passed since the start of Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)’s third season, meaning the second half is rapidly approaching. Anything can happen once that second half begins, but we already know which players will enter it as the biggest threats at the table.

With at least six matches under each team’s belt this season, the league’s official power rankings list is starting to reflect which players have been the most dominant this season. From talented rookies to well-established superstars, these 10 players have stood above the rest of the league following Week 7.

1.) Seungmin Cho: Princeton Revolution

SPINDEX: 2805

Singles: 12-6 (66.7%)
Doubles: 7-5 (58.3%)
Golden Game: 29-16

Power Rating: 786.9

Much of the conversation surrounding the 2025 MLTT Draft has revolved around the top two picks: Atlanta’s Yuya Oshima and New York’s Koki Niwa. But fourth-overall pick Seungmin Cho has emerged as the class’s top player so far this season. When Cho made his MLTT debut in Week 5, the Princeton Revolution were still searching for their first win of the season. The Revolution have earned a 4-2 record since then, and Cho’s 12-6 (66.7%) record in singles and his 7-5 (58.3%) record in doubles have been a large part of that success.

2.) Kang Dong-Soo (Portland Paddlers)

SPINDEX: 2788

Singles: 14-4 (77.8%)
Golden Game: 18-18

Power Rating: 784.1

Few people expected Kang Dong-Soo to make an immediate impact when he was selected in the second round of the 2025 MLTT Draft. But now, it’s clear that the West-leading Portland Paddlers walked away with the steal of the class. Though Kang has not played since he won Men’s Player of the Week in Week 3, he’s earned this spot with an 14-4 (77.8%) singles record and a proven ability to change the course of a match.

3.) Hiromitsu Kasahara: Texas Smash

SPINDEX: 2769

Singles: 12-6 (66.7%)
Doubles: 4-2 (66.7%)
Golden Game: 21-15

Power Rating: 774

The Texas Smash have had to play their first two weekends without coach Jorg Bitzigeio on the sidelines, but the leadership and consistency of their veterans have kept them as the second seed in the West. The best of these veterans has been Week 5 Men’s Player of the Week Hiromitsu Kasahara, who has kept the Smash afloat in tight matches with his 12-6 (66.7%) singles record and 4-2 (66.7%) doubles record.

4.) Robert Gardos: Chicago Wind

SPINDEX: 2810

Singles: 27-9 (75%)
Doubles: 6-6 (50%)
Golden Game: 37-38

Power Rating: 763.5

The Chicago Wind have played their first-round rookie all around the lineup this season, and he routinely takes on some of the toughest assignments in a given match. And yet, Gardos boasts a 27-9 record in singles (75%), which is the most singles wins of any player in the Top 10. Though Gardos does not yet have a Player of the Week award to his name, he has quietly been one of the key factors behind the Wind’s success this season.

5.) Lily Zhang: Bay Area Blasters

SPINDEX: 2587

Singles: 15-6 (71.4%)
Golden Game: 23-15

Power Rating: 761.1

The highest-ranking woman on this list should not come as a surprise. Lily Zhang’s 15-6 (71.4%) record in singles proves how dominant she has been for the Bay Area Blasters in their Singles 2 matches. She’s earned her flowers, too. Zhang’s performance during Week 6 earned her that weekend’s Women’s Player of the Week award. A week later, she became the first woman to ever top MLTT’s power rankings list after her three-game sweep of Mo Zhang.

6.) Jens Lundqvist: Portland Paddlers

SPINDEX: 2720

Singles: 4-2 (66.7%)
Golden Game: 12-10

Power Rating: 756.4

Jens Lundqvist has only played in six games for the Portland Paddlers, but his performance in those three matches kick-started his team’s reign of terror over the West Division. Lundqvist’s presence as a veteran leader stabilized the relatively young Paddlers during Week 1, as did his four of six (66.7%) wins and his 12-10 (54.5%) percentage in the Golden Game.

7.) Guodong Liang: Texas Smash

SPINDEX: 2656

Singles: 3-0 (100%)
Doubles: 6-3 (66.7%)
Golden Game: 8-8

Power Rating: 755.2

The Smash’s success in doubles has been a silent, yet significant reason why they’re still one of the league’s top teams. 2025 second-round pick Guodong Liang has played a major part in that success, as his 6-3 (66.7%) record ties teammate Kasahara for the best doubles percentage among the Top 10, and trails only Cho and Sid Naresh for the most doubles wins among that group.

8.) Sid Naresh: Portland Paddlers

SPINDEX: 2683

Singles: 3-0 (100%)
Doubles: 11-7 (61.1%)
Golden Game: 11-9

Power Rating: 751.3

Speaking of excellence in doubles, that’s what the Portland Paddlers were expecting to gain when they traded for Sid Naresh over the offseason. He’s proven the Paddlers right with an 11-7 (61.1%) doubles percentage, and he’s even performed well in his limited opportunities in singles. He may not play in every match, but it’s hard to envision the Paddlers being as dominant as they are without their Week 4 Men’s Player of the Week.

9.) Hampus Nordberg: Portland Paddlers

SPINDEX: 2758

Singles: 15-12 (55.6%)
Doubles: 4-2 (66.7%)
Golden Game: 34-24

Power Rating: 750.2

Hampus Nordberg is the fourth Paddler to appear on this list, but he is by no means a throwaway. He’s anchored the back half of the Paddlers’ lineup since the start of Week 1, and his consistent dominance over some of the league’s top players has been a key reason why the Paddlers are the best team in the league as of Week 7. With a 15-12 (55.6%) record in singles, a 4-2 record in doubles (66.7%) and a 34-24 (58.6%) record in Golden Games, it’s clear that coach Christian Lillieroos trusts Nordberg, who has delivered on that trust all season.

10.) Emmanuel Lebesson: Chicago Wind

SPINDEX: 2758

Singles: 21-15 (58.3%)
Doubles: 1-5 (16.7%)
Golden Game: 45-28

Power Rating: 744.7

Emmanuel Lebesson has always been an important piece for the Chicago Wind, but his performances have mostly flown under the radar throughout Season 3. That all changed in Week 7, when he became the third player in MLTT history to finish a weekend without losing a game in singles. Those nine wins boosted Lebesson’s singles record to 21-15 (58.3%) and earned him the first-ever sole Player of the Week award in league history. His 21 singles wins and 45 points in the Golden Game currently lead the league in both categories, and they have made his presence on the Wind a game-changer for a team looking to make their second consecutive postseason.
