• Hernandez switches sides. Carlos Hernandez, who scored the title-clinching point for Portland last season, now suits up for Princeton — the very team he helped beat in the semifinal.
• LA's ready-made doubles team. Spinners duo Adi Sareen and Lubomir Pistej already click, giving Los Angeles a head start while other teams find their combos.
• A women's swing spot. Chicago's Mo Zhang (Season 2 MVP) faces Atlanta's choice between veteran Rachel Sung and rising star Yuanxinai Yuan.
