FREMONT, Calif. (June 16, 2026) – Major League Table Tennis (MLTT), and Table Tennis America (TTA), one of the nation's premier table tennis clubs and event operators, today announced a strategic partnership designed to accelerate the growth of table tennis across Northern California and beyond.
As part of the partnership, Table Tennis America will serve as the home venue for all Bay Area Blasters home matches during the 2026-27 MLTT season, establishing a dedicated home for one of the league's most successful teams and creating new opportunities for fans to experience professional table tennis in the Bay Area.
The partnership builds on the success of MLTT Championship Weekend, hosted by Table Tennis America in April 2026. The event drew a sold-out crowd and showcased the Bay Area's position as one of the leading table tennis markets in the United States.
"Championship Weekend demonstrated the passion for table tennis that exists throughout the Bay Area and showed what is possible when great partners come together to create a world-class fan experience," said Flint Lane, Founder and Commissioner of Major League Table Tennis. "Table Tennis America has built one of the premier table tennis destinations in the country, and we're excited to deepen our relationship through this partnership. Together, we'll continue growing the sport, serving players and fans, and creating new opportunities throughout the region."
In addition to hosting Bay Area Blasters home matches, MLTT and TTA will work together on initiatives designed to strengthen participation, increase visibility for the sport, and connect more players and fans to professional table tennis.
"The success of Championship Weekend confirmed what we've believed for a long time: the Bay Area is one of the most important table tennis communities in America," said Danny Leung, Co-Founder of Table Tennis America. "We're proud to partner with MLTT and serve as the home venue for the Bay Area Blasters. This partnership creates exciting opportunities for our members, our community, and the future growth of table tennis throughout Northern California."
Northern California has long been a hub for table tennis in the United States, supported by a vibrant club ecosystem, strong youth participation, and one of the nation's deepest player communities. Through this partnership, MLTT and TTA aim to build on that foundation while introducing the sport to new audiences and creating a stronger connection between grassroots participation and professional competition.
The announcement comes as MLTT continues to build momentum nationally. During the 2025-26 season, the league generated more than 76 million video views across digital platforms, increased sponsorship revenue by 188 percent year-over-year, and delivered its first sold-out Championship Weekend.
"Growing table tennis requires collaboration across every level of the sport," said Lane. "This partnership brings together two organizations that share a common vision for the future. We're excited about what we can accomplish together, both in the Bay Area and across the country."
