Portland’s Hampus Nordberg (SPINDEX: 2748) has been named Player of the Week for Week 14 of Major League Table Tennis, the league announced on Monday.

Portland’s Kotomi Omoda (2611), Carolina’s Enzo Angles (2744) and Portland’s Nikhil Kumar (2795) also received nominations for Week 14 Player of the Week.

Nordberg won six of his nine Singles games during Week 14 against Angles, New York’s Koki Niwa (2797), Bay Area’s Elsayed Lashin (2712). Those six wins helped Portland earn an undefeated Week 14 and the team’s first-ever postseason berth.

Nordberg’s Week 14 performance boosted his Singles percentage to 55.6% (25-20) and his Golden percentage to 66.7% (56-45) in Season 3. He now boasts a power rating of 738.8, which makes him the No. 10 player in all of MLTT.

This is Nordberg’s first Player of the Week award this season, making him the second Swede and fourth member of the Season 2 Draft Class to earn this honor in Season 3. He is the eighth different player to win Player of the Week since the league began recognizing only one player after each weekend.

Nordberg is the fifth Paddler to win Player of the Week this season, as Omoda, Kang Dong-Soo (2788), Sid Naresh (2650) and Jens Lundqvist (2751) have all won this award earlier this year. The Paddlers now roster the most Player of the Week recipients of any MLTT team, none of whom have won the award more than once.

The Paddlers have a 13-2 record with 217 points, which makes them the top-seeded team in MLTT as of this article’s publication. They have already earned a chance to compete for the Season 3 championship from April 18-19, and are just 11 points away from clinching the No. 1 seed in the West Division.

The Paddlers will conclude their regular season in Lawrenceville, N.J., during Week 15. They will face the Princeton Revolution on Friday at 7:30 p.m. EST, the Florida Crocs on Saturday at 4 p.m. EST and the Atlanta Blazers on Sunday at 4 p.m. EST.

These matches will be streamed exclusively on Table Tennis TV, which can be found on TableTennis.TV, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
