Texas’s Anirban Ghosh (SPINDEX: 2586) will not compete in his team’s Week 11 matches due to wrist pain.

Guodong Liang (2656) will take Ghosh’s place on the Smash’s active roster.

Ghosh becomes Texas’s third player to be ruled out for Week 11. He joins Amy Wang (2593) and Nandan Naresh (2693), both of whom will compete in the ITTF Americas Cup San Francisco 2026 until Sunday.

The depleted Texas Smash will enter their sole homestand of the season with an active roster of Liang, Hiromitsu Kasahara (2787), David McBeath (2677), Joao Monteiro (2732) and free agents Darryl Tsao (2550) and Kayla Goodwin (2350).

Ghosh holds a Singles percentage of 22.2% (2-7) and a Golden Game percentage of 40% (8-10) this season. His power rating of 572.7 makes him the No. 70 player on the league’s official power rankings list.

Liang, who mainly plays in Texas’s Doubles games, holds a Doubles percentage of 61.1% (11-7) this season. It is not yet clear whether Liang will play in Singles, which he has only done for three games (3-0, 100%) this season.

Liang was Texas’s second-round pick in the Season 3 MLTT Draft. The Smash selected Ghosh in the fourth round that year.

Week 11 will be Texas’s third consecutive match week, a streak that started with a winless Week 9 in Portland, Ore. They responded with a 2-1 Week 10 in Willowbrook, Ill., and now rank as the West Division’s third seed with a 6-6 record and 133 points.

Texas will face the Carolina Gold Rush (4-2, 61 points) on Friday in a rematch of the Season 2 championship match. They will conclude their weekend with matches against the Chicago Wind (10-5, 182 points) on Saturday and the Atlanta Blazers (3-9, 101 points) Sunday.

All three of Texas’ matches will begin at 8:30 p.m. EST.
