MLTT Welcomes Group Led by Scott Staples as Owners of the Atlanta Blazers

September 30, 2025

PRINCETON, N.J., September 30, 2025 – Major League Table Tennis (MLTT), the first professional table tennis league in the United States, today announced that the Atlanta Blazers are now under the ownership of a group led by Scott Staples, CEO of First Advantage (https://fadv.com/).

The ownership update comes during a landmark 2025–26 season, in which MLTT now has 10 teams (in six of the top 11 markets), expanded its national television partnership with CBS Sports, and introduced TableTennis.TV, a new streaming platform.

“Atlanta is a priority market for MLTT with passionate fans and real growth potential,” said Flint Lane, Founder and Commissioner of MLTT. “Scott brings proven leadership and a long-term view that will benefit the Blazers and the league.”

The Blazers made their 2025–26 debut in Charlotte, N.C., last weekend showcasing the fast, high-energy brand of table tennis that defines MLTT. Atlanta is led by head coach Suzi Battison and features a dynamic roster including Yuya Oshima (Japan), Minhyung Jee (Australia), Jiwei Xia (China), Jeet Chandra (India), Tom Feng (USA), Andrea Todorovic (Serbia), Kayama Yu (Japan), and Ping Cheng Chang (Taiwan).

“Atlanta is an incredible sports city, and home for First Advantage,” said Staples.  “We are committed to building a team the community can rally behind.”

Atlanta’s next match is November 14th against Chicago in front of a hometown crowd at the GAS South Convention Center.
