MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference Welcomes Major League Table Tennis Players for “Challenge a Pro” Experience with Attendees

MLTT to showcase SPINDEX rating system and interactive activation at leading global sports analytics event

BOSTON, Mass., March 5, 2026 — Major League Table Tennis (MLTT), the first professional table tennis league in the United States, will participate in the 2026 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference (SSAC) on March 6–7 at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, bringing a live “Challenge a Pro” activation that invites conference attendees to play a point against MLTT professionals and receive an official rating through SPINDEX, MLTT’s global table tennis rating system.

The MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference provides a forum for professionals and students to discuss cutting-edge trends in analytics, business, and technology to foster innovation in the global sports industry.

At the MLTT activation, attendees will have the opportunity to step up to the table and test their skills in MLTT’s fast-paced, competitive environment. Each participation will be logged and rated using SPINDEX, a modern performance rating system that tracks competitive play across clubs, tournaments, and leagues worldwide.

“MIT Sloan is where many of the most important conversations about the future of sports happen,” said Flint Lane, founder and commissioner of Major League Table Tennis. “We’re excited to bring a live table tennis experience to the conference and demonstrate how technology like SPINDEX can help modernize the sport by connecting players, data, and competition on a global scale.”

SPINDEX provides a universal rating system for table tennis players at every level, allowing participants to record matches, build verified ratings, and track performance over time. By integrating data infrastructure with live competition, MLTT aims to create a more connected ecosystem for players, clubs, and fans.

The “Challenge a Pro” activation will take place throughout both days of the conference.
